About Next Scholars Network

We remember what it was like to be an applicant.

Next Scholars Network was created by scholars and others with firsthand experience of international scholarship programs, including the Japanese MEXT Scholarship. Some of us are currently studying through these scholarships, while others have already graduated.

Before becoming scholars, we were applicants too. We remember searching for reliable information, navigating complex requirements, preparing important documents, and wondering whether we were taking the right steps. If you are going through that process now, some of these challenges may feel familiar to you.

We also know that where you come from can affect how easily you can access reliable information and connect with people who have successfully navigated these opportunities. Your potential should not be limited by a lack of access to guidance.

That experience inspired us to create Next Scholars Network. Our goal is to build a platform where you can access the knowledge, experience, and practical guidance of scholars and others who have walked this path before you.

We are starting with MEXT to help you better understand the scholarship and prepare for the journey ahead.
